Candlelit Evening of Kirtan
Spiritual traditions have long used song, music, and sound vibration as a method of prayer to enter the realm of the divine. Govindas and Radha will guide you on a musical meditation and yogic ritual deep into the essence of Bhakti---the yoga of the Heart, the yoga of Love and Devotion. Through the grace of their teachers, Govindas and Radha have uniquely melded ancient Indian mantras with western melodies, yet still playing traditional Indian instruments.
Saturday Morning: 9:30 am -12:00 pm
Yoga Mala ~ 108 Sun Salutations
A Yoga Mala is any yoga practice intentionally repeated 108 times. Like adding flowers to a garland, Govindas and Radha will sensitively yet courageously lead us through the purifying and transformative ritual of 108 Sun Salutations - the full body yogic salutation to the Sun- metaphorically described as the divine light that shines at the core of our Being.Saturday Morning: 2:00 pm -4:30 pm
Yin Yoga ~ The Lunar Journey
Lunar yoga practices are a time for restoration, new beginnings, rebirth, and opening the doors for the “winds of grace” to blow through our lives. With Govindas and Radha a shanti-bhav or “peaceful mood” will carry us in slow, restorative yin-style asana sequences. Long holds will be used to cultivate a deep settling and grounding in our bodies to facilitate a true letting go into deep relaxation and stillness. This is a practice to cultivate a deeper trust and receptivity into the currents and flow of our lives, our collective consciousness and planet.
