Warrior Fitness is a unique series beneficial for all types of athletic training. Designed for the sports enthusiast, Martial Artist, and Yogi, this blend of Tai-Chi, Qi Gong, Hindu Calisthenics, Power Yoga and Meditation creates a well rounded circuit to achieve the stamina, awareness, and focus needed in art of living whole.Tai chi and Qi Gong are ancient Chinese systems of slow flowing movements coordinated with breath, physical postures and motion to enhance the energy awareness of the body/mind.
Hindu Calisthenics are based on ancient training techniques used in India around 5,000BCE. Three of the most valuable of these are the Hindu Squat, the Hindu Push-up, and Neck Bridge, creating explosive power and strength.
Power Yoga with Core Strengthening lengthens and stretches the torso while building strength, stamina and breath control. Emphasis on your core (abs and back) will be greatly stressed.
Meditation cultivates the link of mind and body awareness achieving a centered state need for quality benefits in ones particular practice
Saturday morning: 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
Introduction and Fundamental Application
Learning the basics of Tai-Chi to warm up the body. Instruction on body alignment for the Hindu Calisthenics. Basic core strengthening exercises. Power Yoga instruction on Sun-Salutation and standing poses.
Saturday afternoon: 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Complete ‘Warrior Training” Workout
Awakening meditation
Tai-chi and qi-gong warm-ups
Hindu calisthenics for full-body strength
Power Yoga for pliable strength and stamina

Richard J. Hobin has been studying Martial Arts for over 22 years. He has black belts in Daito-ryu Aiki-Jujitsu, Iaido (the art of drawing the sword) and Gusari (the art of the chain) from the Sobukan Dojo in Sapporo, Japan where trained for 3 years. He has brown belts in a number of hard body styles and has studied many styles of knife and weapons training. After an injury in 1997, he became a practitioner of Ashtanga yoga to rehab his damaged knee. In the years since then, he has studied Kundalini and Hatha Yoga and has over 5,000 hours of teaching experience in yoga studios from Edwardsville Illinois to Sedona Arizona.
 
Warrior Fitness is Richard’s own system developed over years of practicing Martial Arts and Yoga. It is designed with the philosophical idea that you can utilize all ways and be bound by none.
